After unpacking our loaded down cars, we headed off to Gatlinberg for their Trolley Tour of Lights. It was so, so cold, as you can tell from our pictures, seeing how bundled up we all were. Thankfully, we were able to wait inside until it was almost time to board the trolley. Getting settled on the trolley, I was a little worried that I was gonna have a time keeping Spencer happy. It was super hot on the trolley. The tour guide (who was dressed at Scrooge) said they had to keep it so warm so the windows wouldn't fog up. That would kinda ruin the view! We all shed a few layers and almost before we got moving, Spencer fell asleep! I was thrilled! In fact, before it was over, all of the kids were asleep. Even Delaney, you ask?? The girl who doesn't take naps? Does anyone know the number one reason she will take a nap? The answer: FEVER! Yep! She had 102 when we got back to the cabin. But all of the adults did get to sit back and relax and enjoy the tour. I think Mark even fell asleep! Gatlinberg's Christmas lights were pretty, and it was neat to learn some of the history of Gatlinberg. We were quite a hit with all of our sleeping children. After the tour was over, we knew we had to get Delaney back to the cabin for some Ibuprofen, so we just drove thru Arby's for some quick supper. Danielle and Mark decided to go to Cracker Barrell for supper---a decision they later regretted! You need to go to her blog to read about that!
