Danielle and I had been planning this for months!! And I mean, like 6 or 7 months! We knew that we were going to be taking a trip for Christmas, but we didn't want to tell the kids because the trip itself was going to be one of their presents. They love to travel as much as we do! So, the night finally came. We told them all they were getting early Christmas presents, so of course they were jumping out of their skin with excitement. We gave them all a little suitcase that contained matching Christmas pajamas, a Dixie Stampede brochure, an Aquarium of the Smokies brochure, a sleeping bag, pillow, and flashlight. Well,........they didn't get it! We know they can't read (except for Kenidy!), but we gave them about 10,000 hints. Finally, we told them that we were all going on a vacation for Christmas to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinberg. Needless to say, in the end, Delaney and Kenidy were very excited, but I guess it wasn't quite the immediate eccstatic reaction we had been hoping for! No matter! We leave in two weeks, and Delaney asks everyday if we leave tomorrow! WE CAN'T WAIT!!!
